MUN NOTE
I'm American, and have been to France a total of thirty-six somewhat miserable hours.
I speak very little French, however, I dislike Google Translate. I completely understand the disdain most speakers have for using such an automatic translation tool, and I attempt to stay away from it as much as I can. This means relying on my college French book, my French to English dictionary, and other such things. If you notice anything off about the French I do use, please, by all means, correct me. I am fine with this, and will not take offense in the slightest.
If your character speaks French fluently, chances are Francis will naturally fall into speaking his first language -- it'll be implied, rather than written.
